A train reported flames within the track area in front of the train as it was pulling into Tufts Medical Center around 11:50 a.m., an MBTA spokesperson tells Daily Voice.

Boston Fire responded to the scene to put out the fire while power was cut to the third rail, they added. Photos and video posted by Twitter user @Windtrain1 showed sparks coming from a track at the station as well as passengers being evacuated.

Service eventually resumed and no injuries were reported, the MBTA added. Authorities are now investigating the cause of the incident.
